Count To Four’s Top 5 Favorite Philadelphia Venues

The Electric Factory:

It’s where all of the big shows are. (minus super bands who go to the Susquehanna Center). It’s where most of us started when we started going to shows, seeing bands like Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Sum 41, Thrice, etc. It remains to be a venue that the bands we listen to go to. Just recently the Startling Line did their reunion tour show there, and the Wonder Years opened. It’s just a great venue to be at, typically with great sound.

The TLA:

It’s on South Street, which is a favorite place of all of us to go in Philly. On top of that, we’ve played the TLA opening for Street Dogs once, it was a very cool experience. Jay interned there and knows many of the employees, so it’s a more familiar environment. It also is a great place for fans to interact with band members, typically they’ll be walking about since the show venue’s green rooms are limited.

The Trocadero:

One of the first and largest places any of us ever played, and it’s still completely DIY owned and run. The Troc recently redid their ceiling as well, so it’s never sounded better. It was once a theatre, so when you walk in you really get a different vibe than that of other venues. It’s overall just a cool place.

Dobbs:

Another really awesome venue, it features different styles of musicians than metal or pop-punk usually. Our friends In the Presence of Wolves play there often and it’s always a good crowd for them as they’re progressive rock. It’s just a nice place to chill if you have the weekend off and want to hear good independent music.

Susquehanna Center:

Used to be called the Tweeter Center back in the day, but we had to include this. Its where Warped Tour is each year. It’s where most of us went to our very first show. It’s just so big that crazy stuff always happens like huge mosh pits on lawn. Mike saw Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects and Hawthorne Heights there, talk about a throwback.
